Hi everyone, I’m unable to see app usage details on our Hexnode-enrolled Android devices. I checked both the device summary and the reports section, but the information is blank. Is there any additional setup needed for this?

Hi @casper,
To track app usage on Android devices, you will need to configure the Application Usage Policy in Hexnode.
- On your Hexnode UEM console, navigate to Policies > New Policy > Android > App Usage Management.
- Click +Add App and select the apps you want to monitor, and click Next.
- Under App Usage Notifications, you can configure alerts for admins, users, or both when app usage exceeds a certain limit.
- You can choose daily or monthly notifications and even add multiple limits for the same app if needed.
Once the policy is saved, associate it with the required devices or groups. You can then check the usage details from the Device Details page and the Reports tab.

Thanks. For tracking mobile data usage, I’ll have to configure the Network Data Usage policy as well, right?

Yes, that’s correct.
Also, make sure the required permissions are allowed on the device. We had a few devices where the usage access permission was disabled, and because of that the reports were not getting updated properly.
