Hi, how can I jump out of single app kiosk mode right from the device, and is there a way to keep the screen from dimming? I’ve been poking around the settings but haven’t had much luck.

- Kiosk Management
- Exit kiosk mode and adjust screen brightness

Did you check the Peripheral Settings? That’s usually where display-related options are configured.

For exiting kiosk mode, it depends on how your admin configured it. In our setup, we had to tap multiple times on a specific corner of the screen to bring up the password prompt. May be try that?

Hi @harold,
Here’s how you can address both your concerns:
Exiting Single App Kiosk Mode:
- You can configure a kiosk exit password in the Hexnode UEM portal. For this to work, you must first have configured an auto-launch delay for the kiosk app under Android Kiosk Lockdown > Launcher. This creates a brief window upon startup where you can tap anywhere on the home screen to bring up the password prompt and exit the lockdown.
- Alternatively, to exit, you can restart the device, and once the home screen appears, tap 6 or 10 times according to the configuration. This will exit the kiosk mode.
Adjusting Screen Brightness:
- Navigate to: Peripheral Settings > Display > Brightness
- From there, you can manually set the brightness level as needed.
