Hey folks, I’ve got a zebra scanner running Android 14. I set an app as required with the policy, but it’s just not showing up on the device. Interesting thing is, the same app works fine on our other devices. Any idea what’s going on?

Hello @isaiah , thanks for reaching out. To narrow down why the app isn’t deploying on this scanner, could you help confirm a few details?
- Action History – Check under Manage > [Select the device] > Action History. Does the app installation show as Failed or is it stuck in Pending?
- Connectivity – Verify that the device is checking in properly. Check the Last checked-in time and try forcing a sync via Manage > [Select the device] > Actions > Scan Device.
- Application Type – Is this app a Store app or an Enterprise app?

Yeah, the device is online and syncing fine. It’s an Enterprise app, but in Action History it just sits there as “Pending” and doesn’t move forward.

Thanks for confirming. Here are a few steps you can try:
- Re-associate the policy: Dissociate the policy from the device, then associate it again.
- Check kiosk mode: If the device is locked down in kiosk mode, make sure the app is explicitly added to the Multi App Kiosk policy. Even if it’s deployed as a required app, it won’t appear in kiosk unless listed there.
- Test with a new policy: Dissociate the existing policy from the device, then create and associate a new Required Apps policy to see if the app installs correctly.
