Entra ID login failing on Windows via Hexnode AccessSolved

Hey everyone, running into a weird issue with Hexnode Access + Microsoft Entra ID. We’ve configured Entra ID integration, assigned the policy to devices, and enabled local account password sync. All users are syncing properly and showing up under Manage > Users in the portal.

But when trying to log in on Windows using Work Account credentials, we keep hitting this error: “The configured account isn’t authorized to log in to the system. Please contact your administrator”

Anyone seen this before or know what we might be missing?

Yeah, we ran into something very similar a while back. In our case, everything looked correct too, users synced, policy applied, but the issue was actually tied to the Entra app configuration. Did you double-check the client credentials used during the integration?

We did configure the app registration. Client ID, tenant ID, and client secret are all added. Didn’t notice anything off there.

Hi @clauss,

Based on the behavior you have described, this typically points to an issue with the client credentials configured in the Entra app registration, rather than the policy or user association.

Just to confirm — when setting up the Client Secret in the Hexnode configuration, which value did you use?

If you’re currently using the Secret ID, try replacing it with the Value instead and check if the issue persists. Once updated, users should be able to sign in successfully.
