Hi everyone,

I’m trying to enroll a Windows 11 device, but during enrollment it keeps rejecting the email and password. I’m sure the credentials are correct, but it just won’t go through.

Has anyone seen this before?

Are you using a newly created user account for enrollmentI’ve seen cases where new users don’t work immediately.

@sutton, when you open a user from the Users section, you can check the username and password under the Actions (for local users).

But yeah, that alone doesn’t always explain why enrollment fails.

Hey all!

@sutton  , from what you’ve described, this doesn’t look like a credential issue.

In Hexnode, when using local user authenticationenrollment will only work if the credentials belong to a valid portal user that’s properly set up and recognized.

Here’s what you can try:

  • Use credentials of an existing local user in the portal.

  • Navigate to Manage > Users > open the user > Actions > Edit User to view the username and password (use the reveal option if needed).

  • Go to the enrollment page on the devicehttps://portal.hexnodemdm.com/enroll/

  • Log in with those credentials and proceed with enrollment.

Got it. I checked internally, and the account I created wasn’t set up correctly for this.

Tried with another existing user’s credentials, and the device enrolled without any issues.
