Hello everyone, I added the Weather Network app to an App Catalog, added the App Catalog to a policy, and then applied that policy to the iOS devices at our company. The policy assignment is successful, but the Weather Network app is nowhere to be found in the App Store on the devices. Why is the app missing?

@timo-liam , Did you check whether you added the correct app? Maybe accidentally added the wrong one?
@gnishilda there was only one app with this exact same name in the Store Apps section of the Hexnode app repository, so there is no way it would be wrong.
Hello @timo-liam , could you confirm whether this is observed in only a few devices or all the devices you assigned this policy to?
@elle_reed , I observed this behavior only in a particular country where our devices are deployed.
@timo-liam , Please verify whether the app is available for the country or region associated with the App Store accounts in the iOS devices. The app might not be available in certain countries or regions.
Regards,
Elle Reed,
Hexnode UEM.
@elle_reed , I just checked if the app is available in the region and online sources say it is indeed available in that region, is it some other problem?
@timo-liam , Please ensure the following:
-
There is no Blocklist policy associated with the devices through a secondary configuration profile which might be hindering the specific app from appearing in the App Store.
-
Please go to the policy you created, Manage > Modify and Save the policy without any edits. Resaving the policy forces a sync update to the devices, effectively reassigning the policy.
@elle_reed , there was indeed an old Configuration profile blocklisting all weather apps associated with the devices. I removed it and the Weather Network is back! Thank you!
