Hey everyone, we have a few Android tablets in Kiosk mode. I have this annoying task bar at the bottom of the screen that I would like to remove. This should only appear in normal device mode, right? Why is it showing up in Kiosk mode?

@jennifer , Which brand are your tablets?

@jennifer , Did you try using the Lenovo OEMConfig app to remove the task bar? Maybe there are some settings in it? And also, did you configure the “Lock task mode” option in the Kiosk Lockdown settings?

@_janet , That’s the first thing I tried actually, but there is no setting in the Lenovo OEMConfig app to disable the task bar. Where do I find the setting for Lock task mode?

@jennifer You can find that setting in the Peripheral Settings under Kiosk LockdownWhen you enable Lock task mode, it should disable the home button, notifications, recent apps button, etc. Maybe it will also disable the task bar as it is a system component?

@jennifer , When you set the device navigation to Gesture, doesn’t the task bar disappear? As a last resort, maybe take the tablets out of kiosk mode and disable the task bar manually from device settings?

@eliiza , The devices are already in Gesture mode. And since you said it, I did try disabling the task bar manually; the task bar was gone for a while, but it reappeared after some time.
