For iOS/iPadOS devices, apps added directly from the public App Store generally require an Apple ID or iTunes sign-in on the device to complete installation. This is expected Apple behavior for regular App Store app installs.
To deploy RingCentral without prompting the user for an Apple ID, add and deploy it as an Apple VPP app through Apple Business Manager.
Recommended flow:
1. Sign in to Apple Business.
2. Go to Apps and Books.
3. Search for RingCentral.
4. Assign or obtain licenses for the app. For free apps, the licenses are usually obtained at no cost.
5. Make sure the Apple Business/VPP token is linked with Hexnode.
6. Sync the VPP apps in Hexnode.
7. Deploy RingCentral from Hexnode as a VPP app instead of a regular public App Store app.
This allows Hexnode to assign the app license to the device and install it without requiring the user to sign in with an Apple ID. If the iPad is supervised, the installation can be silent. On unsupervised devices, iOS may still ask the user to confirm the install, but it should not require an Apple ID sign-in when deployed using VPP.
