When you disenroll a device from the portal, the device identity is purged. When you re-enroll the device, it will be regarded as a fresh device and you can start from scratch. The previous groups or policies will not be retained at all.

Please navigate to Admin-> General Settings-> Enrollment-> Re-enrollment options. If the ‘Retain configurations and change owner’ option under Re-enrollment options is enabled in the portal, while re-enrolling the device back again, the device will retain the configurations that were previously associated with it.
