I’m configuring Android tablets in Hexnode and need to allow runtime permissions for an app used in kiosk mode. I added the app under Required Apps, but when I go to the App Permissions section in the Android policy, I can’t find the app in the list. Is there another step needed before permissions can be managed?

For an Android app to appear under App Permissions, it must first be added to the Hexnode App Inventory through Managed Google Play. Adding the app only under Required Apps does not make it available for runtime permission configuration.
Use this sequence:
- Go to Apps tab in the Hexnode UEM portal.
- Click + Add Apps.
- Select Managed Google Apps.
- Search for the required app and add it to the App Inventory.
- Open the target Android policy, or create a new one.
- Navigate to Android > App Management > App Permissions.
- Click Configure.
- Search for the app and set the required permissions as Default, Allow, or Deny.
- Save the policy and associate it with the Android tablets.
After the app is added to the App Inventory, it should be available for selection in the App Permissions policy.
