I’m setting up kiosk lockdown and need users to access only a specific website. Is there a way to remove the close (X) button in Google Chrome and stop users from opening or seeing multiple tabs while the device is in kiosk mode?

Standard Google Chrome does not allow Hexnode Kiosk Lockdown to hide the browser tabs or remove the close (X) button from the Chrome interface.
If you need tighter control over tab usage and the close button, use Hexnode Browser Lite or Hexnode Kiosk Browser instead of Google Chrome, and configure it for single-tab browsing.
You can set this up as follows:
1. Go to Policies in the Hexnode UEM portal.
2. Create a new policy or edit an existing kiosk policy.
3. Navigate to Kiosk Lockdown.
4. Choose Website Kiosk for Android or Website App for iOS, depending on the device platform.
5. Add the required whitelisted website URLs.
6. Select Hexnode Browser Lite or Hexnode Kiosk Browser instead of Chrome.
7. Open the Advanced Web App or Navigation Settings section.
8. Enable Disable Close button.
9. Save the policy and associate it with the target devices.
This will allow the website to run in a more controlled kiosk browser environment where tab usage can be restricted.
