I’m trying to check device activity or screen time usage statistics for an enrolled Linux machine in Hexnode. I don’t want to start a remote session just to see what’s happening on the device. Is there a report that shows local account sessions or usage history for Linux devices? Also, is there any policy setting that can capture more detailed activity for Linux, Windows, or macOS?

Hi @finn,
Hexnode can provide local account session data for Linux devices, but it does not provide screen time or granular application usage history for Linux.
To view local account session details:
- Go to Reports, and open Built-in Reports.
- Select Local Account Reports, and click Account sessions.
- Use the Filter option above the report table, and set Platform as Linux to narrow the results to Linux devices.
- Use Export to download the filtered report as a CSV or PDF.
This report is useful for checking account session activity, but it should not be treated as a screen time or application usage report.
Also, there are currently no Hexnode policy settings that passively capture granular device usage, background application usage, or screen time history for Linux, Windows, or macOS devices.
