Kiosk app icon not appearing after cloning a kiosk policySolved

We are moving from one time clock app to Workday Time Kiosk and tried reusing our existing Hexnode kiosk setup by cloning the old policy. I added the Workday kiosk app in the policy, but the app icon was not showing up on the managed devices.

The same Workday kiosk app works when tested outside the Hexnode-managed setup, so it looked like something in the cloned kiosk policy was preventing it from appearing. Is there a specific place where the Workday Time Kiosk app needs to be added for the icon to show on the device?

Hello @cameron ,

When using a cloned kiosk policy, confirm that the new kiosk app is also added under the policy’s required app configuration.

In Hexnode, open the cloned kiosk policy and check the following:

  1. Go to Policies and open the cloned kiosk policy.
  2. Click Manage > Modify.
  3. Navigate to App Management > Required Apps.
  4. Click Add and select Workday Time Kiosk.
  5. Save the policy.
  6. Go to Manage, select the affected device, and check Action History to confirm that the app-related actions are deployed successfully.

If an app is included in the kiosk configuration but is not installed on the endpoint, the device will not display the app icon as expected.
