Hi. I just enrolled (non-supervised) an existing device and it shows up as a Personal device not corporate. Is there a way to switch the ownership after it enrolls?

Hi Mark,

We apologize, but we don’t provide the option to change the ownership from personal to a corporate device. However, you can expect this feature in a near future as we are working on the same.

By the way, please have a look at the option to assign a new user as the owner of a device. This option can be accessed from the Management tab.

  1. Go to the Management tab and select a device.
  2. Select Change Owner option from Actions button on the top right corner.
  3. Assign the device to a new user.

Has this option been instituted?

Changing Corporate to Personal after enrollment is a must have for our company.

Hey Larry!
I’m afraid we do not have your exact requirement at the moment. We do have an alternative for you though!
You could set it as such that the user can choose the ownership during the enrollment process.
Head onto Enroll > Settings OR Admin > Enrollment. Choose Enforce Authentication under Authentication Modes, and then under Enrollment Ownership, choose Allow user to choose as the Ownership type.

Hey Larry,

We have rolled out this feature. With the latest update, the admin/technician could remotely change the ownership of an enrolled device, thus eliminating the need of re-enrollment.
Here is how you can do this.

  • Navigate to Manage > Devices > Select the device.
  • From Actions, choose Change Ownership.
