Hey, Thanks for reaching out to us.

You can create a dynamic group based on the OS version of the device. Please follow the below steps for the same:

    1. Navigate to Manage tab-> Device Groups-> New Dynamic Group.
    2. Add a Group Name and Description.
    3. From the Condition Filter, add the criteria. Click on the drop-down list named Select column group and choose the option ‘Operating System’.
    4. Click on the drop-down list named Select column and choose the option ‘OS version’.
    5. Select the comparator and filter based on your requirement.
    6. Click on the Preview button to view the list of devices that match the criteria and on Save Group to save the group details.

Check out the Dynamic device groups for more info.

    Cheers!

Hey, Thanks for reaching out to us.

Hexnode will automatically sync the dynamic device groups at regular intervals. The automatic sync depends on the pricing plan you have subscribed for:
    Pro: Auto-syncs every 4 hours.
    Enterprise: Auto-syncs every 1 hour.
    Ultimate: Auto-syncs every 15 minutes.
    Ultra: Auto-sync every 5 minutes.

Apart from the automatic sync, you also have the option to sync dynamic device groups manually:

    • Navigate to Manage-> Device Groups.
    • Click on the Actions button and choose the option ‘Sync dynamic Groups’ to manually sync all the dynamic device groups.

Please check out the help doc on Dynamic Device groups for more info.

    Cheers!

Hey, Thanks for reaching out to us.

Yes, it is possible! You can group devices of a specific region by creating a dynamic group.

At first, you will have to create a geofence around the desired area:

    • Navigate to Admin-> Geofencing and click on Create Fence.
    • Select the desired region by typing the location in the text box.
    • Draw a rectangular fence over the region and click Save.

    To create the dynamic group:

    • Please navigate to Manage -> Device Groups -> New Dynamic Group and set up the conditions for dynamic group.
    • Below Location Filters, you will see the option to select the desired location.
Choose the include/exclude option to apply the policy to devices inside/outside the chosen location.
    • Click Save Group and a device group that meets the criteria will be formed.

Now you can apply any policy to this dynamic group and it will be pushed to all the devices in/out of that specific region.

    Cheers!
