I see the option device scan under actions, what is that for? Is it for checking if the device is still in hexnode?

Hey, Thanks for reaching out to us.
The option ‘scan device’ will initiate the scan on a device to fetch the latest device details and to know whether the policies have been successfully associated. It confirms if the device is reachable by the MDM. The scan can be performed both automatically and manually. Using remote actions, you are performing the scan manually.

Hey, Thanks for reaching out to us.
You can schedule the automatic scan for devices enrolled in Hexnode.
To schedule a device scan:
- Navigate to Admin-> General Settings -> Schedule Device Scan.
- Choose whether the device scan should be performed on a daily or weekly basis.
- Set the hour and minute for device scan and click Save.
