Just had a question. I’m having trouble managing a couple of my ipads. The software is installed, but i’m not sure how to get them to be ‘supervised’?

Hey, Thanks for posting.

You can supervise the iOS devices either using the Apple Configurator or using the Device Enrollment Program(DEP).
Supervision using Apple Configurator involves hooking up the devices to a Mac whereas Supervision via DEP is entirely over-the-air. The DEP registration and approval may take around 5-10 business days.

Please use the help link to know more about the supervision and how to supervise the devices.

Cheers!

My country doesn’t support DEP, so is the Apple configurator only way to supervise the devices?

Hey, Thanks for reaching out to us.

Yes, it is.  The iOS devices can be supervised only by using Apple Configurator or Device Enrollment Program. Since DEP is not supported in your region, Apple Configurator is the only method to supervise the iOS devices.
The Apple Configurator should be downloaded and installed on a Mac with OS X 10.6.6 or later. The iOS device should have the OS version 6 or above to supervise using Apple Configurator 2.

Hope this was helpful!
