Deploy custom configuration profile via policy failing in macOSSolved

Hi, I’m having trouble deploying a .mobileconfig file to customize the dock in our organization’s Macs using the ‘Deploy custom config policy’ feature. The configuration profile is created using iMazing, but the profile isn’t getting added to the device and the policy is failing. Can anyone suggest a solution to successfully push the profile to the Macs?

Hi @Kendall, thanks for reaching out to us.

Please verify whether the configuration profile you are attempting to deploy is a signed configuration profile. If it is a signed configuration profile, then proceed to verify the portal version of Hexnode UEM you are currently using, as only the latest versions (48.1.0 or higher) support the deployment of signed configuration profiles. Alternatively, you can use an unsigned configuration profile to deploy it to your devices if you don’t have the latest version of Hexnode UEM portal.

If you’re seeking other ways to customize the dock on your organizational Macs, consider using the macOS Dock policy available in Hexnode. You may also use the Execute Custom Script action to deploy the script from our sample script repository, which allows you to customize the dock preferences on your Macs.

Hope this helps, please reach out to us in case of any further queries.

With regards,

Thanks, I used an unsigned configuration profile created using Apple configurator to clarify the issue, it worked. However, the inbuilt policy that you mentioned makes it even easier, we are using that.
