Certificates in Apple TVSolved

I have been going through hexnode, and I saw the option Certificates for Apple TV. So if I have uploaded a certificate there, can I use them for configuring Wi-Fi? Do we need separate policy for this?

Hey, Thanks for reaching out to us.

You can configure the Wi-Fi using a certificate.
Please go to Apple TV–>Certificates. Click ‘Add Certificate’ and then you can select the certificate to be added. After the certificate has been added, please go to Apple TV–> Wi-Fi and click ‘configure’. The added certificate would be available in the drop-down list corresponding to the ‘Identity Certificate’ option in Wi-Fi.

The certificate has to be added to the same policy that is configuring the Wi-Fi.

Here is the help link for Wi-Fi configuration on Apple TV.

Cheers!

Yes, it can be done. Please navigate to iOS > Security > Certificates. Click ‘Configure’ and then on ‘Add Certificate’. Select the certificate.
On selecting Wi-Fi, the added certificate would now be available in the drop-down list corresponding to the ‘Identity Certificate’ option.
