BYOD Management: Best Practices for IT Admins

43:30 MIN

The Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) trend is fuelled by the rise of remote work. Many organizations are now increasingly embracing it, allowing employees the freedom to use their personal devices for work tasks. This trend goes beyond employee convenience - reports indicate a 68% productivity surge and a reduction in average IT spending on employee devices. However, with employees using a wider range of personal devices, IT admins face an increased risk of malware, security breaches, and data leaks. To address this challenge, IT admins need to enhance their BYOD frameworks to match the requirements of remote work. But what specific enhancements are necessary?

Leveraging Mac Secure Token & Bootstrap Token

31:37 MIN

Apple introduced macOS High Sierra in 2017, which brought significant updates to security and privacy features on Macs. One key change was the introduction of the Secure Tokens attribute, altering how FileVault encryption was managed. Previously, devices were susceptible to both internal and external threats, as any administrator account could access critical settings like FileVault encryption. Secure Tokens addressed this by ensuring that only trusted accounts could access FileVault and perform essential operations on a Mac. However, due to variations in how organizations configured computers and accounts, not all users received secure tokens, presenting a challenge for IT admins. This called for changes to Unified Endpoint Management workflows for enterprises to ensure that all corporate Mac accounts had their respective secure tokens. But what specific alterations have been made to these management workflows, and how have they integrated secure tokens into enterprise practices?

Why UEM is a must-have for modern businesses

47:57 MIN

Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) has become an indispensable solution for modern businesses, revolutionizing the way organizations manage and secure their endpoints. In today's dynamic and interconnected digital landscape, where employees rely on various devices such as smartphones, tablets, laptops, and IoT devices, UEM offers a holistic approach to endpoint management. By consolidating multiple management tasks into a single platform, UEM enables businesses to efficiently deploy, configure, secure, and monitor all their endpoints from a centralized location.

Migrate to a zero-trust architecture with UEM

38:27 MIN

Migrating to a zero-trust architecture while incorporating unified endpoint management is a proactive and strategic approach to enhance cybersecurity in today's rapidly evolving digital landscape. Zero trust architecture challenges the traditional perimeter-based security model by assuming that no user or device should be trusted by default, regardless of their location or network access. By implementing unified endpoint management (UEM), organizations can gain a comprehensive and centralized control over all endpoints, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and IoT devices, ensuring consistent security policies and management across the entire network.

Harnessing UEM for a better Digital Employee Experience

1:01:12 MIN

A survey by Gartner in May 2023 found that 47% of digital workers struggle to find information or data needed to effectively perform their jobs. As the digital landscape continues to evolve, businesses are increasingly recognizing the importance of delivering a robust Digital Employee Experience (DEX). Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) is now at the heart of this transformation, playing a key role in creating a seamless, productive, and engaging workplace environment. In this insightful webinar, we explore the compelling intersection of UEM and DEX, and how they are reshaping the future of work.

51:16 MIN

The first quarter of 2023 has come and gone. The field of cyber-security finds new ways to tackle cyberattacks – innovation never stops. Unfortunately, that’s also true of ransomware attacks. A report by Thales mentioned that 48% of IT professionals reported an increase in ransomware attacks with 22% of organisations experiencing a ransomware attack in the past 12 months. The need to stay informed and updated on the latest challenges posed by a ransomware attack have become a necessity for organizations everywhere. In the April 2023 edition of Ransomware Wrap-Up, series-regular Mark Houpt, CSO at DataBank, returns with further updates on ransomware protection and recovery. In this session, Mark will cover:

Simplified device provisioning with zero-touch deployment

39:59 MIN

Businesses that look to expand often find that the endpoints they manage become increasingly harder to keep track of. IT admins keep track of several factors for their endpoints, including the number of user accounts, staff and devices. This is where zero-touch IT has stepped in, co-ordinating endpoints and automating them instead of admins having to do them manually.
