Prevent students from adding new eSIM cellular plan

As part of a distance learning program our institution is planning on purchasing around 120 Cellular iPads and distribute them to the students. We plan to go with the iPad Air (4th Gen).

We wish to restrict students from adding eSIM plans on these devices. Does Hexnode provide any feature that can help us in this matter?

    Hey @shw89,

    Thanks for reaching out.

    You can make use of the eSIM Modification option to prevent the addition of any eSIM cellular plans on your iPads.

    To configure this option, navigate to Policies > iOS > Advanced Restrictions and uncheck the eSIM Modification option. Associate the policy with your target devices.

    Please note that this restriction is supported only on supervised devices running iOS 12.1+ or iPadOS 13.1+.
