Open links only in SafariSolved

Hi. We have many website links in our company app that will be accessed by the company employees on a daily basis. There’s a requirement that we need them to open the links only via Safari and restrict any other browser. Can we configure this setting from the portal? We have around 30 ios devices currently deployed in the company.

Hey @whittaker, thanks for reaching out to us.

There are different methods through which you can open the links from an app in a particular browser.

You can force the links to open only via Safari using the Whitelist feature. Navigate to Policies > iOS > Blacklist/Whitelist and choose the filter type as Whitelist. Add all the required apps, including Safari. This will restrict the users from accessing your links via other third-party browsers.

Another workaround would be to lock down your devices in multi-app kiosk mode by adding all the required apps and Safari. This way, the website links on your company app will only be opened on Safari.

Make sure you add only Safari as the browser app in both of the above methods.

Hope this helps. Do reach out if you’ve further queries.
Cheers!
