We would like the feature to allow IOS apps to auto update. The current methods do not work reliably or scale well. We have tried relying on the devices to have the apps auto update and it does not work. Making an app mandatory does work but it is not feasible to scale. We would have 100s of potentially unique profiles to maintain.

@ricardo-zaragoza, you can go ahead and use the Clear Passcode to Force Update Installation option under the Update OS action to remotely download and install updates on your password protected iOS devices.
On executing this action, the password on your device will be cleared and your device will be unprotected until a new passcode is set.
