Hello folks, thank you for reaching out to us!
@kim-morgan To answer your original query, Handoff between managed and unmanaged iOS devices is possible as long as ‘Handoff’ is enabled on both these devices.
@tristan Not to worry, we’ve got you covered! Restricting the Handoff functionality on the managed iOS device helps you with it.
To configure this restriction, navigate to Policies tab and create a New policy. Under iOS select Advanced restrictions and Uncheck Handoff. Now simply Save and Associate Targets to the policy.
Now if you try to Handoff apps in your managed iOS device, you’ll see that the message on the bottom of the App switcher shown for Handoff is missing. Therefore, the user cannot pick up where they left off on this device using a different device.
This way you can rest assured that an unmanaged device cannot use Handoff to continue the tasks you had been working on using your managed device.
Please note that restricting Handoff using Hexnode UEM is supported only on supervised iOS devices.
Hope this answer suits your requirements.
Cheers!
