Made a few apps mandatory through Hexnode. Employees not able to see these apps in play store. Devices are in profile owner mode in AE. Is this normal?

Why would they want to see apps in Google Play store?  Hexnode will automatically install the store apps u added. My favourite feature of Hexnode so far.

Some of them unknowingly deleted the app. (Yes, I know in spite of the briefcase sign on the app). So they want to install it again.

Hey Hawa,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Work apps can be identified by a badge (briefcase icon). If the user deletes the apps you pushed, Hexnode will list the apps under the Missing app in Compliance Info section of the Device Summary tab on the Device details page. You can either push the app again or Hexnode will reinstall the missing app during the next device scan.

Click on the Missing app count section to see the missing apps.

The missing apps can also be seen in the Applications tab on the Device details page. Modify the filter to show only the Missing Apps.

If the user still wants to see the apps that you have pushed to the device in the Play Store, they will have to:

  1. Open the Google Play Store in the work profile (denoted by the briefcase icon).
  2. Click on the icon with profile picture of the google account.
  3. Select the option My work apps. Installed apps can be seen under the Installed tab. Apps approved by the admin that are absent in the device can be seen under the Library tab.

Hope that helps

Cheers!!
