<span style=”font-weight: 400;”>Hi we are new to hexnode … trying a lock on an iPad, but does seem to be locking. Do we need a passcode on the device before it can be locked?</span>
No, passcode on the device is not mandatory for the lock command to work. Even if you don’t have a passcode set, you can lock the device remotely.
If you are looking to set a passcode on the device, go to Policies -> New Policy -> iOS Settings -> Passcode and you can set passcode rules, and the user is forced to set the passcode.
Thanks and regards
