I see that hexnode can block users from accessing certain apps on ios device. However, could you please  tell me if the blacklisting is possible for system apps? Does hexnode have control over them to do this?

Hey, Thanks for reaching out to us.

Yes, Hexnode will allow you to blacklist the system apps on supervised iOS 9.3  and above devices. To blacklist apps on iOS devices:

  1. Navigate to Policies-> iOS-> App Management-> Blacklist/Whitelist and click Configure.
  2. Choose the option ‘Blacklist’. Click on ‘+Add’ and select the desired apps/ app groups.
  3. Click Done. Associate targets and save the policy.

Please note that the Phone and Settings app cannot be blacklisted on iOS devices.

Kindly check out our help doc on blacklisting apps for more info.

Cheers!
