I was recently laid off. My employer remote wiped the M1 Mac I was issued and told me I could keep it. Well, I can’t actually do anything with it, not even reinstall the OS without it getting stuck on the hexnode screen. I know I can’t do anything to remove it from my end, but what steps do I need to give them so that they can unlock the machine?

Hello @michael-berkow. We appreciate you reaching out to us!

All you’ve got to do is ask your employer to disenroll the device from Hexnode UEM. We have provided a detailed walkthrough on disenrolling and deleting devices from the Hexnode portal in our help docs. Once disenrolled, you have complete control, and your employer can no longer manage the device.

Hope this clears your query. Please feel free to reach out to us in case of any hiccups along the way.

Regards
