Device actions not working in BlueStacks

expand collapsive

We plan to implement interactive user kiosks at an art gallery for navigation, digital signs, and to display details about the artists and their works. We were testing out the platform on virtual Android devices using BlueStacks. However, the device scan and actions don’t work on these emulated devices. Are emulated devices not supported for management? Will we have to test it out on actual devices? We plan to implement this change soon; the newly ordered devices won’t be here for a month, and we wanted to test the features before arriving at a decision. I appreciate any help you can provide.

  • Hi, @remy  and @Ezra,

Thank you for choosing Hexnode UEM!

Emulated Android devices are supported in the Hexnode UEM console. The issue was due to an exception in the scan action on the server side. It has been handled, and the fix was released. You should have a seamless testing experience with virtual Android devices now. Please feel free to reach out to us in case of any hiccups along the way.
