Hey, Thanks for reaching out to us.

Hope your requirement is to create multiple technicians for a portal. Hexnode lets you create multiple technicians who can log into the portal and access its features.

Please navigate to Admin-> Technicians and Roles and click on Add Technician button to configure a new technician. Each new technician can be assigned any of these roles: Admin, Reports Manager or Apps and Reports Manager. The number of technicians that you can create will depend on the plan that you have subscribed to:
Express: Only Super Admin
Pro: Two Active technicians
Enterprise: Three Active technicians
Ultimate: Four Active technicians
Ultra: Five Active technicians
You can also purchase additional technician license from the Hexnode portal. Please navigate to Admin-> License and click on Upgrade/Renew to find the option for the same.

Check out our help doc on Configuring Custom Technician Roles for more info.

Cheers!

Hi,
My current plan is Ultimate. So I can have a total of 4 technicians. What is the cost, if I need more technician than this?

Hey, Thanks for reaching out to us.

May I know the plan you have subscribed for? Is that annual / monthly plan?

Thanks for the reply

Since you have subscribed for the annual plan, for each additional technician, you will be charged $300/year.

Really bothered about the security nowadays. Can two-step verification be enabled for technicians’ accounts? Not really able to trust just on the password login.

Hey, Thanks for reaching out to us.

Yes, two-step verification can be enabled for technician login.:

  1. Please navigate to Admin-> Technicians and Roles.
  2. Click on Add Technician and the option to configure a new technician will appear.
  3. Check the option ‘Enable two-step verification’.
  4. Configure other options and click Save.

A new technician is now created and he will be able to log in only via a two-step verification process.  You can also edit an existing technician’s details and enable the two-step verification.

Please check out our help doc on configuring technicians for more info.

Cheers!

Hey, Thanks for reaching out to us.

Yes, you can deactivate any of the active technicians and create a new technician. To disable a technician, please navigate to Admin-> Technicians and Roles. The list of active technicians will be displayed. To deactivate a technician, turn off the toggle button at the end of the row along which the details of the technicians are listed.
Now, you will be able to create a new technician by clicking on Add technician.

Please check out our help doc on configuring technicians for more info.

Hey, Thanks for reaching out to us.

Yes, two-step verification can be enabled for a technician.

  1. Please navigate to Admin -> Technicians and Roles.
  2. Click on Add Technician and the option to configure a new technician will appear.
  3. Check the option ‘Enable two-step verification’.
  4. Configure other options and click Save.

A new technician has now been created. When this technician tries to log in, he will have to enter the username and password at first. The second step is to enter a verification code sent to the email address/mobile number provided by the technician.

You can also edit an existing technician’s details and enable the two-step verification.

Please check out our help doc on configuring technicians for more info.
