Add Videos/Files to KioskSolved

The user would be allowed to push video files and documents to a device in Kiosk which would be easily accessible in the device. This would be quite handy for sharing relevant docs to field staff or sharing video files to in-store Kiosks for looping ads and demo videos.

Hey!

You can now add pdf files to Android devices locked in kiosk mode. Have a look at Shortcut for pdf files in Android kiosk.

The feature to push video files to Android devices locked in kiosk mode is on its way. Meanwhile, stay tuned to our latest release.

Cheers!

Hey, Thanks for reaching out to us.

Yes, it is.  At first, you will have to create a shortcut for the file. Please follow the steps for the same:

  1. Navigate to Apps-> File Shortcuts and click on Create File Shortcut.
  2. Provide details such as type, display name, icon, etc. Choose the type as video.
You will have the option to choose the file either from Hexnode repository or device storage.
  3. After filling in the details, click Create.

The short has been created. Now, navigate to Policies-> Kiosk Lockdown-> Android Kiosk Lockdown-> Single-App/Multi-App, click on the ‘+’ icon, and choose Select file shortcut. Choose the created shortcut and click Done. Associate targets and save the policy.
