With Hexnode’s support for OEMConfig, you can now customize OEM specific settings for Android Enterprise enabled devices.
The Configuration Applications build by the OEM vendors are hosted on the Managed Google Play. This can be added to the Hexnode App inventory, which then lists all the possible device settings.
All you need to do is to approve the OEMConfig Apps from the Managed Google Play and customize from the available settings, and you’re done.
Wanna know in detail? Let’s go.
- Login to your Hexnode portal.
- Navigate to Apps > +Add Apps > Managed Google Apps > OEM Config > Choose the OEMConfig App > Approve.
- Now, go to Policies > Android > App Management > App Configurations > Select the OEMConfig App > Customize the settings from the available options > Done.
The OEM vendors who currently manufactures OEMConfig apps includes,
- Samsung – Knox Service Plugin.
- Zebra – Zebra OEMConfig powered by MX.
- Honeywell – Honeywell OEM config.
- Datalogic – Datalogic OEMConfig.
- Kyocera – Device Config Plugin.
- Spectralink – Spectralink Device Settings.
- Lenovo – Lenovo OEMConfig
- Unitech – Unitech OEMConfig
- CipherLab – CipherLab OEMConfig
- Seuic – Seuic OEMConfig
