What happens to the installed apps when the mandatory policy is removed?

While configuring the Mandatory App policy, if you have enabled the ‘Remove apps from the device on policy removal’ option, the application will get uninstall from the device on policy removal. If the option is not enabled, the policy will not affect the app

Really? Seems like a tall story. Had to sit and remove a lot of apps even after removing the policy and disenrolling the device.  was a real pain!!

Works fine on android. Not sure about iphone though

You had to go through this unpleasant situation because even though the apps were installed on the device, the status of the apps might not have been updated in the portal. The apps that were not removed might still be in the “Pending” status. Make sure to perform a “Scan Device” action before you remove a policy so that the current statuses of the apps are updated in the portal.
