Clear login details on browser

expand collapsive

Hey people,
We have placed a device in lockdown to fill forms and create customer accounts. We placed that device at the enterance so we can easily register our users when they walk in. The form receives the customer details like name, phone number etc and a password for the account.
we noticed that forms are displaying the previous users information as suggestions when the current user is entering his details. Do we have an option to remove this behavior. Any help is appreciated.

Even after deniying the cache and cookie storage, it is asking to store the password of the customer. A message like that being displayed will convey a wrong meaning, that we are storing their account password. Am I missing out on any restriction to disable this popup

  • Hey @joyc

Thank you for reaching out to us.

The suggestion given by @erin-scott is a great method to disable storing cache, cookies, web storage, and browsing history on the Hexnode Kiosk Browser. The Advanced Website Kiosk Settings tab enables you to configure the Hexnode Browser remotely.

To disable the pop-up notification displayed when the password is provided by the customer, navigate to App Configurations under Android policies. Select Hexnode Kiosk Browser from the app list and disable the option Enable saving the password to the password manager. This will disable the pop-up notification displayed when the password is provided by the customer.

Add the Hexnode Kiosk Browser as a managed Google Play app from the Apps tab if the app is not present in the app list under App Configurations.

    Hope that helps your query.

    Cheers!

Hey johan, I have disabled the saving password to password manager option on the hexnode browser but even now it is asking to auto populate the password field when entering the details.

  • Hey @lia,
The password field will be prompted to auto-populate with the saved passwords if there are passwords previously stored on the device. You can rectify this by disabling the storage of caches, cookies, web storage and search history of the Hexnode Kiosk Browser under the Advanced Website Kiosk Settings tab on the Android Kiosk Lockdown page.

    Hope that helps you.
    Cheers!
