BitLocker encryption is of paramount importance to preventing unauthorized access to data on the devices, even if they are lost or stolen. And to prevent getting locked out and having to sacrifice the entire device data if the user where to forget their PIN or lose their startup key, it is also recommended to configure recovery options like a recovery key or password.
But what if the recovery password falls into the wrong hands? How do you ensure the security of your devices then?
With Windows BitLocker password rotation, you can rotate the recovery key between your Windows devices, so even if the old key were to be compromised, it cannot be used to gain unauthorized access to the device.
