San Francisco, September 19, 2019–(Business Wire)– Hexnode, the emerging leader in the Unified Endpoint Management market has announced zero-day support for iOS 13, earlier today. Apple had announced the release date of iOS 13 for the public in the iPhone 11 event that took place in Cupertino, California, on September 10th. The beta version for developers was released in mid-June this year.
Apple debuted the new OSes during the 2019 Worldwide Developers Conference in June. Apple introduced iOS 13, iPadOS – the new stand-alone OS exclusively for iPads, macOS 10.15 Catalina, Apple tvOS 13 and watchOS 6. The biggest surprise of the conference was the introduction of iPadOS. However, iOS 13 had its own new cool features and enhancements to grip the crowd. In short, the event was full of surprises.
Since WWDC’19, Apple fans have been desperately waiting for the OS release. The mind-boggling announcement included some long-awaited features like dark mode along with unexpected modifications to some of the existing apps such as Photos, Maps, Notes, Find My and Safari, among others. Security features have got even better with the “Sign in with Apple” feature and single time location sharing permission for 3rd party apps along with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth protection. Apple also had something for the enterprises too.
Some of the noteworthy enterprise features in iOS 13 are:
- User enrollment feature exclusively for BYOD.
- Managed Apple IDs for Businesses, which was only available for Apple School Manager before.
- Single Sign On extension.
- Mandatory device supervision and management with an MDM in Apple DEP enrollment.
- Custom app (B2B) support in Apple School Manager, which was only available in Apple Business Manager till now.
iOS 13 is said to be the fastest and efficient version of the OS so far. Find out more about the WWDC announcements here.
