Randy Varela (@hackingmess) is a cybersecurity enthusiast with +8 years of experience and he's based in Costa Rica. He has been working in multiple cybersecurity roles for companies like Cisco, HPE, Akamai, and Shutterfly and is currently working as a Red Team Leader for a local cybersecurity firm (ATTI CYBER).

In his free time, he teaches about DevOps at the local University and collaborates with the security community on multiple projects. He holds CISSP, CEH,  CompTIA Sec+, and other certifications, also have a Master's Degree in Cybersecurity from the European post-grade center (CEUPE).

Also is the founder of a cybersecurity community " The Hacker Pub" where he teaches and mentors people interested in the improvement of their cybersecurity skills and promotes a better cybersecurity mindset across the country.
