# Set up Ethernet network connection on Zebra printer

What is an Ethernet connection?
--------------------------------

An Ethernet connection is a wired network connection that links the Zebra printer directly to a router, switch, or network hub. This type of connection is stable, and ideal for business environments where reliable communication between devices is essential. Zebra printers commonly use ethernet networks to ensure consistent printing performance across multiple devices on the same network.

Managing Ethernet settings via Hexnode
---------------------------------------

Hexnode helps simplify how you manage a zebra printer ethernet connection across your organization. IT admins can set up a secure ethernet network for Zebra printers, so devices connect automatically, without users needing to enter passwords or adjust settings. This cuts down on setup time and keeps printing simple for everyone.

With Hexnode’s **Ethernet** policy, admins can remotely apply and update the required Ethernet settings, making it easier to configure printers.
