How to configure NAT Settings using Hexnode MDM

Network Address Translation (NAT) is a process used by the router to manage all the mobile devices using one centralized system. It enables your devices to connect to the internet using a public IP address. Hexnode MDM enables you to configure NAT settings on your device.

Note:

NAT Settings can be enabled only in Hexnode on-premise edition.

To configure NAT Settings

  1. Navigate to Admin.
  2. Click on NAT Settings.

You will have two types of NAT configuration

  • Default Server configuration.
  • Alternate Server configuration.

Default Server Configuration

The default server refers to the configured server. It contains the server name, communication port number and SSL port number configured during the installation of the product.

  • Server – Configured Server name.
  • http port – Communication port number.
  • https port – SSL port number.

Alternate Server Configuration

The Alternate Server is used to establish communication from an external network. If required, you will have to provide the alternate server name and port number.

  • Alternate Server – Server name or IP address used to establish connection with external network.
  • http port – Communication port number.
  • https port – SSL port number.

Click on Save to configure the NAT settings.
