# How to Hide Hexnode Messenger on Android Kiosks?

Why the Hexnode Messenger app appears on Android kiosk?
-------------------------------------------------------

The **Hexnode Messenger** app is a component of **Hexnode UEM/Hexnode for Work** app. It allows users to view broadcast messages sent by the admin. When the corresponding peripheral setting is enabled, the app can appear on the device.

> **Note:** The **Hexnode Messenger** app is not the same as **Google Messages**. Disabling the Hexnode Messenger does not automatically remove Google Messages.

Hide the Hexnode Messenger app
------------------------------

1. Open the Android kiosk policy in Hexnode.
2. Go to [**Peripheral settings**](https://www.hexnode.com/mobile-device-management/help/how-to-enable-peripheral-settings-for-android-devices-locked-in-kiosk-mode/).
3. Locate the option **View messages sent by admin**.
4. Disable **View messages sent by admin**.
5. Save the policy changes.
6. Sync the updated policy to the Android device.
7. Verify that the Hexnode Messenger app is no longer shown to users.

What changes after disabling View messages sent by admin
--------------------------------------------------------

- The Hexnode Messenger component is hidden from the user experience in kiosk.
- Users will no longer see this app app used for admin broadcasts.
- **Google Messages**, if deployed separately, remains unaffected.

> **Important:** Disable **View messages sent by admin** only if the users do not need to view broadcast messages sent by the admin through the Hexnode UEM Broadcast Message remote action.
