# Enable remote view and remote control on Linux devices from Hexnode UEM

Hexnode UEM’s Remote View and Remote Control features simplify the remote management of Linux devices. With *Remote View*, administrators can connect to a device’s screen, gaining immediate insight into its activities to diagnose issues and identify incidents. For direct intervention, the *Remote Control* feature provides full access to the device, enabling administrators to troubleshoot errors remotely without needing physical access.

Notes:The features are supported on **Debian**, **Fedora** and **Mint** based distributions with Hexnode Agent version 2.8.7 and above.

- *Remote View* is compatible with all distributions and versions supported by the agent.
- *Remote Control* is limited to the x11 display manager and does not work with Wayland.
- Both *Remote View* and *Remote Control* require a GUI. Without it, the *Remote View* window in the Hexnode UEM console will not be displayed.
