All my client’s devices are in kiosk mode. But I need the Hexnode app to get updated in all these devices without exiting the kiosk mode. Would this be possible team? Much curious to know ?

    Hey, Thanks for the reply.

Yes, you can update the Hexnode app without disabling the kiosk mode on Android devices.

In the case of Samsung Knox, Kyocera Business Phones and Android devices with Hexnode MDM as a system app, enterprise apps can be pushed silently. So, the latest version can be uploaded in the app inventory and deployed to devices.
If the device is enrolled in Android Enterprise, the enterprise apps are to be published as private apps in Managed Play Store for silent installation.

    • Navigate to the Apps tab and click on +Apps > Enterprise App.
    • Select the platform, category and upload the new APK file. Click Save.
    • The app can be deployed via Mandatory App policy or remote actions.

    Cheers!

Hey, Thanks for reaching out to us.

No, Android devices enrolled as Device Owner will support the silent installation of store apps. So, the Hexnode for Work app can be pushed as a store app:

    1. Go to the Apps tab and search for the Hexnode for Work app.
    2. Click on the app and the app detail box will appear.
    3. Click on the Settings icon and select Check for updates.

The app will get updated if an update is available. If not, it will show No updates available.
The Hexnode for Work app can be pushed to the devices via Mandatory app policy or remote actions.

    Cheers!
