changing ipad name

Hello – I have tried changing ipad name a few times but it’s not showing as changed in the portal or on the iPad. The action history says –remove the restriction by enabling the option and retry.

    Hey, Thanks for reaching out to us.

    Please navigate to iOS-> Advanced Restrictions-> Allow Security and Privacy Settings and confirm that the ‘Modify Device Name’ option is enabled. If the option is unchecked in any policy associated to the device, you would not be able to change the device name from the portal or from the device end. Please note to associate targets and save the policy.
