Unable to clear browsing history on iPhone

could be some minor issue that may get fixed upon restarting the phone

Tried that already, but to no avail 🙁

you may have inadvertently set something. you could choose to reset all settings, but that would erase everything you have set up. kind of a dilemma!

Have faced this issue. Occurred when we applied a restriction or something. Don’t remember exactly. Maybe the guys at hexnode can be of some help.

hey one of our employees has the same issue. But we haven’t associated any restriction. We assumed it was some device specific issue.

There are broadly two different cases where the said issue could occur.

Case 1
This could happen when a web content filtering policy has been applied to the supervised iOS device. In such a case, the user will be unable to clear the browsing history from Safari.

Case 2
If the user has enabled either the Limit Adult Websites option or the Allowed Websites Only option in Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Web Content, the Clear button will be greyed out in Safari.

Hope this resolves the issue.
