San Francisco, CA, 30th May 2022: Hexnode UEM, the enterprise software division of Mitsogo Inc., recently announced the addition of Android TV OS to their supported operating systems. Being one of the commonly used IoT devices in the workplace, smart TV management has been a constant requirement for businesses in the past couple of years.

Android smart TVs have seen bulk deployment as digital signages and kiosks across various industry verticals and tech teams have had to manage these devices manually or with separate software. With Hexnode, a single console and a single IT Admin could manage your entire TV fleet along with all the other digital endpoints used at work.

Hexnode’s content and app management feature enable company resources to be transferred and Android TV customized apps to be remotely pushed as mandatory apps. This feature has helped educational sectors push educational apps and portray content for better learning experiences. Moreover, the uploaded documents and images could be distributed to corresponding TVs once stored in the content repository.

Digital signage is a widely adopted marketing strategy, particularly among B2C businesses. With UEMs, every business can turn their smart TVs into personalized digital signages. IT admins can change the display from the single console that manages all the other work devices. In addition, Hexnode allows you to play any content in a loop, including PDFs, images, and videos.

Among the array of remote actions Hexnode offers, the remote wipe feature has proven popular with corporates. Assisting businesses in wiping off sensitive data after use, in particular, it enables admins from the healthcare sector to wipe off customized patient information once a patient is discharged.

“With about 80 million Google and Android TV devices scattered across business networks, an effective management solution is inevitable,” says Sahad M, CTO at Hexnode. “And we, at Hexnode, look into every aspect of endpoint security, from application management to data management, content management and network management.”

Rising to the occasion, Hexnode now covers remote control for all Android mobile devices letting IT admins troubleshoot devices remotely and take real-time control of the machine without requiring assistance from end-users.
